Who We Are

Something Good Initiative is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Kristin and Luis Angulo with the guidance of Jim Cannon and Victoria Cannon. Based in Austin, TX, we live by a simple truth: talent is everywhere; opportunity is not.

We support young creatives who lack access due to financial barriers, limited mentorship, physical limitations, or the absence of a supportive network. These are capable artists who need access, encouragement, and a place where they are taken seriously.

Mental health and emotional well-being are central to our mission. Through our annual BEWM FOR THE PEOPLE event, we bring mental health and suicide awareness into the open, using interactive art and community to reduce stigma and remind people they are not alone.

Our goal is to create an inclusive, safe space where artistic souls can gain knowledge, learn new skills, and make meaningful connections. We believe in cultivating a collaborative, respectful culture that lays the foundation for lasting creative opportunity.
